Depending of the type of wallpaper and how long this had been installed on the wall, it will be more difficult and take more time to be removed.
Typically, the removal process in a small room 8 x 10, will take approximately 1 day.

Clear the space out:
- small items like frames and breakable items should be remove by costumer.
- furniture or heavier items will be moved to the center of the room by our crew.
Cover the furniture with plastic, and floor with protective paper and covers.
Remove the cover outlets and cover them with tape, to avoid water getting in to them.

PROFESSIONAL WALLPAPER REMOVALStep by Step

Wallpaper replacement isn’t as easy as simply ripping the old paper off the wall and throwing the new paper up. If you have old paper on the walls that is more than a decade old, then removing it without damaging the wall requires special care and technique that only a professional can offer.

A special wallpaper removal product is applied to the wall on small sections, while wet we start to work in that section.

We start scraping the wallpaper on small portions, moving forward to repeat the prior step until the wallpaper on the room is complete removed.

Once the walls are dried, we start sanding the walls.

We then apply a special sealer or plaster-well, to prevent the old glue residues from staining the walls IN THE FUTURE.

Often small proportion of the drywall will come out during the scraping, making skim coating necessary after the sealer.

In order to get smooth walls, we skim coat them with a plaster mix and compound once each layer is dried, we do a little sanding all over, repeat the process 2 or 3 times until the surface is complete smooth.

A special primmer is applied to protect and seal the plaster and to prevent future cracks on it.

We apply caulk & filler nail holes. (around base moldings, windows…). Walls are ready to be painted.
