Design in Details
Full commercial painting and brand refresh for the NYC Hooters location (2017). The project included grease and smoke residue removal, drywall/plaster repairs, priming, and application of durable, washable topcoats across dining, bar, and back‑of‑house areas. Exterior storefront and trim were refreshed, metalwork received rust treatment and repainting, and signage/accents were protected and restored. Work was performed in phases with night and weekend shifts to keep the restaurant operational, using manufacturer‑grade coatings and low‑VOC options in occupied zones—resulting in a clean, brand‑accurate finish built for heavy use and easy maintenance.
Incredible Result
This 2017 project delivered a full commercial repaint and brand refresh for the NYC Hooters location. Work included interior and exterior painting, precise brand color matching, protective coatings for high‑traffic and food‑service areas, and coordinated scheduling to minimize business disruption while meeting restaurant hygiene and safety expectations.
Scope of work: • Pre‑work survey & planning: condition assessment, identification of high‑use surfaces, and phased schedule to allow evening or weekend work when needed.
• Surface preparation: thorough cleaning to remove grease, smoke residue and contaminants; sanding, patching of drywall and plaster, and minor carpentry repairs.
• Primer & coatings: application of high‑adhesion primers and durable topcoats selected for washable, stain‑resistant performance in dining and service areas.
• Brand color fidelity: precise color matching and sample approvals to ensure consistent, on‑brand finishes for walls, accent features, and trim.
• Ceiling & soffit work: repainting of ceilings with attention to lighting interaction and glare control where required.
• Metalwork, trims & doors: rust treatment, priming and repainting of metal frames, railings, and doors for a cohesive finish.
• Exterior & storefront: power washing, surface repairs, and repainting of storefront elements and awnings where applicable.
• Signage & accent features: masking and protection of signage during work; repainting of trim and architectural accents to retain brand impact.
• Food‑service adjacency protocols: containment, ventilation precautions, low‑VOC product selection for occupied spaces, and coordination with kitchen operations to avoid contamination.
• Final cleanup & touchups: removal of protection, reinstallation of fixtures, and client walkthrough for sign‑off.
Materials & methods: • Commercial‑grade primers and topcoats selected for washability and stain resistance.
• Low‑VOC options used in occupied areas to reduce odor and support tenant operations.
